Aushwitz Jewish Cultural Center
Oswiecim, Poland

Retained by the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation, the restoration of the Lomdei Mishnayot Synagogue represents the rebirth of the only remaining synagogue in the city of Oswiecim, Poland.

An adjoining structure will be transformed into a museum and visitors center for the hundreds of thousands visiting this historic site. An auditorium, education center, cafe-teria, and bookshop are also integrated into this restoration project.

Our firm's responsibilities included the total renovation and restoration of the last remaining synagogue in Oswiecim, the
development of the adjoining historic structure into a cultural center with museum and exhibition facilities, and auditorium administration and educational facilities. The project was completed as KKA PC in 2001, in association with RKK&G of NY and
Ryszard Swietek of Poland. It was completed for the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation.
